Dubuque County is seeking a qualified individual to direct the development, presentation and administration of the County’s annual budget. Comprehensive knowledge of current practices and principles used in the development, implementation, monitoring and administration of a municipal budget, knowledge of governmental accounting principles; ability to analyze and develop comprehensive plans from general instructions with time sensitive deadlines. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Accounting or related field and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration or CPA; extensive experience in budgeting or accounting, with governmental, municipal or non-profit accounting desired; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the essential knowledge, skills and abilities.
