The City of East Moline is seeking a highly motivated and driven professional who under the general direction of the Wastewater Plant Director, will assist in developing and implementing departmental plans, goals, and policies. They will oversee daily assigned activities in operations which include operators and maintenance union staff. They will ensure compliance with regulations and coordinate the industrial pretreatment program. They will undertake staffing responsibilities as necessary, assist in budgeting and expense monitoring, and apply emphasis on safety in the workplace. The assistant director will also represent the wastewater department in the absence of the director, and fulfill duties assigned by the director.
The city has a nonpartisan Mayor/Aldermanic form of government and is non home rule. The city provides a full range of services to its citizens, including police protection, fire protection, general governance, maintenance of city streets and sidewalks, community and economic development, water, sewer utility services, as well additional recreational services.
Starting Salary: $79,310 – $110,048 (Dependent on Qualifications)
