Land Bank Director – Kankakee Regional Land Bank Authority
The Kankakee Regional Land Bank Authority (KRLBA) seeks a dynamic and entrepreneurial public sector manager to lead the expansion of the KRLBA as its first Director. The Director will manage the day-to-day activities of the KRLBA, which primarily involves identifying, acquiring, stabilizing, and disposing of distressed real estate assets. The Director will be responsible for developing and administering budgets, managing grants, retaining and supervising staff, and advising the Board.
The Director will play an integral role in developing the KRLBA into a strategic and catalytic community development partner. They should be a proven leader who can operate with a high level of autonomy in a fast-paced work environment, while remaining accountable to the board and to the mission of the organization. The Director will be a full-time exempt employee of Kankakee County, but will report to the KLRBA Board of Directors.
