WASTE WATER PRODUCTION/WASTE WATER PLANT FOREMAN
OBJECTIVE
To supervise, train, assist and work alongside subordinates in the daily work activities associated with the operation and maintenance of all equipment, buildings, and grounds to maximize efficiency and operation of the Village’s Water Production and Wastewater Treatment facilities; to ensure the public’s health and safety, and to remain in compliance with regulatory agencies. Encourage, support, and implement department safety policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be certified as a Class “1” wastewater treatment works operator and a Class “B” public water supply operator with the state of Illinois Environmental Protection Agency as soon as they are qualified. Certification should be upgraded as soon as the requirements for eligibility are completed.
Requires a minimum of five years related experience as a utility treatment operator in a municipal wastewater treatment plant and/or public water supply or a combination of education and experience, which could provide the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform this job, should be considered.
COMPENSATION
This is a full-time position with a salary range of $75,318 – $97,826 commensurate with experience plus benefit program inclusive of participation in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund and group health insurance programs.
