Title: Assistant Community Development Director

Job Summary: The Assistant Community Development Director is responsible for performing a variety of complex professional, administrative, and technical functions related to planning, zoning, code enforcement, building construction inspection, plan reviews, permitting, and customer service. This position will also be responsible for providing administrative and technical support to the Planning and Zoning, and will supervise and oversee the daily activities of some Community Development Department personnel.
Requirements: The requirements for this position include a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Urban Planning or a related field and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience in municipal government or a related field. An American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) or International Code Council (ICC) certification is preferred. Bilingual fluency in English/Spanish is also preferred, but not required.
