Job Summary: The Village of Carpentersville is seeking a Management Analyst to provide support many areas of the Public Works Department, and to perform administrative, analytical, and technical functions to advance the delivery of Public Works services. The primary responsibilities include: performing research projects; preparing reports and communications; developing or analyzing policies or plans; coordinating assigned activities with other departments, divisions, outside agencies, and the public; providing customer service and public assistance; and oversight of special projects and grants.
Requirements: The requirements for this position include a bachelor’s degree in Public or Business Administration, Political Science, or a related field from an accredited university. A minimum of two years of experience in a position in local government, or an MPA Internship, is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.
The successful candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, time management skills, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Candidate must also have outstanding interpersonal skills that demonstrate personal integrity and respect.
