Summary
The Village of Carpentersville is seeking a Public Safety Systems Administrator who will be responsible for providing first line technical support and assistance to public safety employees. This position functions as the primary liaison between public safety departments and IT, and assists with duties such as the installation, maintenance, update, and troubleshooting of technologies used by public safety departments. This position will provide ongoing advanced support to public safety employees, and will be responsible for the installation, update, and repair of Mobile Data Terminals/laptops, tablets, body worn cameras, dash cameras, wireless modems, and other apparatuses in Police and Fire department vehicles.

Qualifications
The position requires an Associate’s degree in computer science or a related field and three years of experience in network and systems maintenance and operations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience requisite to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.
