The Village of Clarendon Hills, IL (pop. 8,900) is seeking a management professional for the position of Assistant Village Manager/ HR Director. Clarendon Hills is located in DuPage County approximately 17 miles west of Downtown Chicago.
Under the direct supervision of the Village Manager, this position involves responsibility for a variety of regular tasks and special project assignments related to human resources, public relations/communications, information technology, strategic management processes, risk management, staff liaison to internal and external boards, commissions, agencies and organizations, coordination of interdepartmental activities, and budget. This role is an important member of the management team. Work also includes research and evaluation of current and proposed programs and projects.
Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in public administration or human resource management, or equivalent experience. A Master’s Degree in public administration or relevant field is preferred.
Salary range for the position is $103,770 to $138,360, and the position includes a full range of benefits including participation in IMRF and three weeks vacation is standard.
