Village of Elwood, Public Works Water/Wastewater Operator

The Village of Elwood is seeking a Public Works Water/Wastewater Operator to conduct, manage and administer the activities of the Water and Wastewater Systems. These activities include maintenance and repair of the Village’s infrastructure, water production, treatment and distribution system, sanitary sewer collection system, and divisional equipment. Candidates must be certified as an Illinois EPA Class B Public Water Supply Operator and EPA Class 2 Wastewater Operator or be able to obtain certification within 18 months of hire.  In addition, candidates must have a valid Illinois CDL Class B driver’s license. The successful candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with thorough experience in public works activities, with experience in the area of specific assignment preferred, or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
