Entry Level Civil Engineer I – $74,715 – $102,254*
Experienced Senior Civil Engineer – $90,817 – $124,290*

The Village of Gurnee is seeking candidates for the position of Civil / Senior Civil Engineer. The Village may hire for either position within the salary range presented depending on candidate qualifications and experience.
Position is responsible for preparing plans and cost estimates for roadway, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water main, and other projects as necessary; provide construction management, inspection and field measurement/quantity take-off of on-going projects including the documentation and preparation of reports. This is a professional position responsible for the plan review of public and private projects and initiation, design, and supervision of construction of public improvements. Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on experience.
Qualifications:
A valid drivers’ license
Completion of a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in civil engineering / related curriculum
Experience:
Entry Level Civil Engineer I – at least 1 year of full time or combined internship experience performing civil engineering work tasks
Senior Civil Engineer – 3+ years’ experience performing comparable civil engineering duties and job responsibilities.
State of Illinois Engineer Intern License desirable but not required

Work Schedule: Full-time position; 40 hours per week; 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Village of Gurnee supports a positive work/life balance.
