Village of Kenilworth, Part-time Planner

The Village of Kenilworth is seeking an experienced candidate to join its Building and Planning Division as a part-time Planner who will work approximately 20 hours per week. The work days are flexible within the traditional 8:30 am to 5 pm work day.

 

The Planner will provide zoning support for the Building and Planning Division. This includes conducting zoning reviews for commercial and residential projects, coordinating with other Village contractors to process development applications, interpreting Village Code, and serving as the staff liaison to the Plan Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals, Architectural Review Commission, and Building Review Commission. An aptitude for managing complex projects, strong attention to detail, and drive to deliver top-notch customer service are key attributes for success.

 

To be considered, candidates should have at minimum a bachelor’s degree in planning, urban design, or a related field, AICP certification, and three to five years of relevant experience. Municipal work experience is preferred.

 

The anticipated hourly rate for this non-exempt position is $42 +/- based upon relevant experience.
