Village of Mount Prospect, Administrative Coordinator

The Mount Prospect Public Works Department is seeking a dependable candidate for the position of Administrative Coordinator.

Essential Functions:

Performs routine clerical and administrative duties, participates in a team office concept by accepting equal responsibility, along with other office staff members, for resolving customer and staff inquiries, whether by telephone, radio, or personal visit, encompassing the full range of departmental activities; and performs other general office tasks.

Additional responsibilities include word processing and computer data entry; answering phone calls from residents, addressing resident concerns; routine administrative and clerical tasks.

Educational Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent required.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum two (2) years of prior general office experience.

Starting Rate: $53,539 – $60,000 annually depending on qualifications.  Minimum 37.5 hours a week. Excellent benefits include IMRF pension, holiday, sick, personal and vacation time, comprehensive health plans, life insurance and 457 retirement plan with pre-tax and Roth options.
