Village President and Six Trustees elected on a non-partisan basis. S5.9M total annual budget including Electric, Sewer, Storm Sewer and Water Utilities, 19 FT and 11+ PT/ seasonal employees. Future emphasis for next administrator will include successful completion of WWTP upgrade; successful completion of water tower construction; continued emphasis on road reconstruction projects; facilitation of residential and commercial growth; succession planning; park improvements and budget prioritization in face of State Revenue Restrictions.

 

Require Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration or related field; prefer master’s degree with at least 2 years progressive municipal management experience. Residency is encouraged. Desire a strong background in budget development and debt financing (including TIF experience); grant writing; public works and engineering project management; strong record of past organizational accomplishments and the ability to cultivate positive and productive relationships with the village president, village trustees and community members.  The successful candidate will demonstrate a collaborative leadership style in administering governing body policies; a high level of both professional and personal integrity; a strong work ethic (commitment to public service); open and positive communication skills (public marketing and community relations) and innovation in service/program delivery.
