POSITION SUMMARY:
This is a single class position under direction of the Community Services Administrator. This position will lead the E.C.H.O. (Engaging Community for Healthy Outcomes) Pilot Program. It includes overseeing day-to-day operations and providing direct supervision to E.C.H.O. staff. In Phase 1 of this program, E.C.H.O. staff includes two Care Coordinators. This role ensures high standards of care, serving as the primary backup for the team while fostering a department dedicated to enhancing community safety. The role would also manage mental health-related calls for service and dispatch (Phase II) if approved by the Village Board.
Key responsibilities include supervising Care Coordinators, ensuring efficient and compassionate service delivery, and coordinating after-care service linkages with first responders. The Program Manager will also develop and implement training programs, manage a low-risk, non-emergency calls from residents, and collaborate with local organizations to strengthen case management services for unhoused individuals and those experiencing traumatic events. Additionally, this position will play a critical role in developing program metrics to assess risk levels and improve response strategies.
