POSITION SUMMARY:
The Strategic Intelligence Manager plays a critical role in enhancing the Police Department’s ability to proactively identify and address crime trends and public safety concerns. This position is responsible for managing the department’s strategic intelligence operations. The Strategic Intelligence Manager leverages data analysis and intelligence tools to identify emerging crime trends, forecast future criminal activity, and assess potential threats to the community. Additionally, the Strategic Intelligence Manager serves as the department’s RMS (Records Management System) and CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) software administrator, ensuring optimal functionality and data accuracy across these critical systems. This position serves as a key advisor to law enforcement leadership, providing evidence-based recommendations to inform policies, allocate resources, and develop long-term strategies for crime prevention. Additionally, the role requires fostering collaboration with other agencies and stakeholders to ensure coordinated efforts in addressing complex public safety challenges.
Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Intelligence Studies, Data Analytics, or a related field is desirable, or a combination of experience and education that is equivalent.
