Village of Oswego, Management Analyst - Public Works

The Village of Oswego is seeking a results-driven local government professional for the position of management analyst in the Public Works Department. The management analyst will provide support to the Village’s leadership team in the form of special projects, data collection and management, and enterprise resource programming.

The management analyst will collaborate with Village departments on a variety of projects, seeking ways to improve the Village’s operations and capacity to serve the community. The Village of Oswego is a leader in shared services, continually seeking opportunities to do things better. This position will also assist in the procurement process, including developing bid specifications and ensuring contract compliance.

A successful candidate will have experience in local government, including strong research skills, the ability to synthesize information and make recommendations, and familiarity with the local government procurement process. Excellent writing and communication skills are important.

A bachelor’s degree in public administration, data analysis or a closely related field (master’s degree or master’s degree candidate preferred), and two years of municipal government experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required. Valid driver’s license required.

Competitive compensation and benefits are offered. Salary range is $68,716.27and $97,577.10 annually DOQ. Benefits include health insurance, dental insurance, IMRF pension plan participation, and paid time off.
