Village of Round Lake, Facilities Supervisor

The Village of Round Lake, Illinois (population 18,721) is seeking applicants for a full time Facilities Supervisor to join the Public Works Department.

General Duties: The position, under the general supervision of the Director of Public Works, is responsible for short term and long term planning, organizing, and oversight of all Village owned facilities. This position will supervise and coordinate the day-to-day inspection, maintenance, and repair of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment.  This can include all aspects of building systems such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management.  The selected candidate will track facility service requests to ensure they are completed in a timely manner and to a quality standard.  They will be responsible for creating and maintaining preventative maintenance schedules and contracts.  This position will be highly involved with all departments in their short and long term budget planning for both routine maintenance and long term capital projects.

Position Qualifications: Qualified candidates will have an Associate’s Degree or specialized technical training, with four to six years of experience in building maintenance, facility management, or construction management. A valid driver’s license is required. Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skill, and abilities will be considered.

Starting Salary & Benefits:  The starting annual salary is $68,398 Benefits include participation in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF), medical, dental and vision coverage, life insurance, and voluntary participation in a deferred compensation program (457 plan).

Hours Per Week: Monday through Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm.
