The Village of Savoy, Illinois (pop. 8,857) seeks an Engineering Technician to support the Public Works Department. This is an hourly, full-time, and non-exempt position that reports to the Public Works Director. The Engineering Technician performs routine and advanced technical engineering support, surveying, drafting, design, and contract administration of public improvement projects; provides construction inspection and documentation for public works infrastructure and field data collection. Minimum Qualifications
- Associates Degree in civil engineering, surveying, engineering technology, or closely related field.
- Two (2) years of experience in civil engineering, particularly in planning, surveying, designing, and managing construction projects; or an equivalent combination of training and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
- Valid Illinois driver’s license.
Compensation and Benefit Package
This position’s expected hiring range is $26.50 to $35.50 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
