VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR

JOB DESCRIPTION:

St. Joseph, Illinois is seeking candidates for the Village’s newly created position of Village Administrator. The Village of St. Joseph, population 4000, is a growing community in East Central Illinois. The Village Administrator is appointed by the Village President (Mayor) with consent of the (6) Village Trustees. SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

A Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, public policy or other related field. A minimum of three (3) years experience as an administrator or assistant required, with five (5) years preferred. Past experience in supervision municipal budgeting and finance, human resource management, public works, council relations, grant procurement, economic development strategies, understanding of state laws. Engineering experience preferred, experience and/or knowledge in urban planning and zoning desired.

COMPENSATION:

$75,000 – $85,000, plus benefits
