Located on the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan between the cities of Racine and Milwaukee, Wind Point is a peaceful and scenic primarily residential community.  Home to the Wingspread Conference Center designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and the Wind Point Lighthouse, the Village is focused on preserving its small town atmosphere, reasonable property taxes and high quality of life. Wind Point is a full service community that prides itself on being a great place to live, play, learn and visit. Village President and Six Trustees elected on a non-partisan basis with all having a strong commitment to the Village and public service. $2.2M total annual budget including Water and Storm Sewer Utilities, 4 FT and 15 PT/ seasonal employees.  Future emphasis on capital improvement planning and execution, sound financial management and several important land use decisions. Anticipated starting salary range $85,000-$100,000 plus excellent benefit package, DOQ.

Require Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration or related field; prefer Master’s Degree with at least 2 years progressive municipal management experience. Consideration of candidates with private sector or military experience will be made if they can demonstrate accomplishments that directly relate to skills required. Serves as statutory clerk and treasurer; certification in either a plus. Residency within a reasonable distance for emergency reponses is desired. Desire a strong background in budget development; governmental finance/accounting; information technology/social media; human resources and grantsmanship. The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of both personal and professional integrity;  a strong work ethic (commitment to public service); excellent oral and written copmmunication skills; be detail-oriented with great follow-through and have the ability to cultivate positive and productive relationships with the village president, village trustees, village staff and community members.
