The Village of Woodridge, IL (population 33,000) is a progressive, thriving community, located approximately 30 miles southwest of Chicago. Woodridge is a family-oriented community, offering its residents a variety of events and recreational opportunities, parks and natural areas, dining and retail choices and high-quality municipal services.
The Village seeks a skilled Fiscal Operations Manager. This position is primarily responsible for oversight and management of all water billing and payroll related duties, and reports to the Director of Finance within the Finance Department.
Requirements include the following experience or equivalent combination of training and experience:
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in accounting, finance or a closely related field, and
- Five (5) years of experience in general accounting including payroll preparation and data processing operations; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to maintain confidential information.
- Good organization, follow- through, and time management skills; excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task; also proactively troubleshoot, problem solve, and make sound judgements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook; knowledge of Tyler Munis software a plus.
- Must hold a valid Illinois Driver’s License.
The preferred candidate will have experience working in Municipal or Government Finance. Bilingual skills are desirable.
Salary and Benefit Information
This position is eligible for the Village’s full-time employee benefits which include paid time off policies (paid holidays, sick time, vacation time and personal days), participation in the Illinois Municipal retirement fund (IMRF), medical, dental and life insurance benefits as well as additional optional benefits. The full salary range for this position is $84,365 – $122,241. The anticipated hiring salary range will be $90,000 – $110,000.
