The Village of Oak Brook (pop. 8,163) is located 15 miles west of downtown Chicago. Home to residential subdivisions, the Oak Brook Center Mall, office and retail locations, restaurants, and numerous corporate headquarters, Oak Brook boasts a wide range of business and recreational opportunities in a premier community.
Due to retirement, the Village is seeking to fill role of Fleet and Facilities Supervisor in the Department of Public Works. Reporting to the Superintendent of Public Works, the Fleet and Facilities Supervisor is responsible for the successful supervision of operations within the Village of Oak Brook, as well overseeing and directing the work of a team of skilled mechanics and building technicians. In addition to supervisory duties, position responsibility includes policy and procedure review, updating, and executing; contractor work review; and inventory management.
The successful candidate will be a team player with municipal experience in a union environment. Appropriate ASE, HVAC, or other acceptable technical certifications are required. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, inventory or asset management software, and administrative skills are desirable.
The full salary range is $82,500.59 – $111,617.56 annually; starting salary is typically no higher than mid-point of range.
