Intergovernmental Personnel Benefit Cooperative

The IPBC is a cooperative entity voluntarily established through the Intergovernmental Cooperation Act to jointly administer some or all of the personnel benefit programs offered to its members for their officers, employees and retirees of units of local government. As of January 1, 2022, the IPBC had 152 members including municipalities, counties, park districts, library districts and other special districts  throughout the state of Illinois participating in IPBC. The IPBC benefit programs include, but are not limited to, medical, dental, vision and life insurance.
