Local Government Health Plan


The Local Government Health Plan (LGHP) is a self-insured employee health, prescription drug, dental and vision benefit program administered by the Department of Central Management Services at the State of Illinois. The plan is offered to units of local government on a fully insured basis and is funded solely by participating units. The LGHP fund is non-appropriated, not subject to administrative charge backs, and fiscally sound. Claims are paid promptly by the contract administrators.
