Northbrook Park District, Trades Manager

Join our amazing team as a Trades Manager! This position is responsible for oversight and management of trades work related to maintenance, repairs and improvements of District facilities, pools and playgrounds, including, but not limited to, mechanical, HVAC and domestic water systems, carpentry, electric and plumbing. The position manages trades staff. The position is on-call outside regular business hours for possible facility and fleet issues.

Pay & Schedule:
$80,000 – $92,000 Per Year (DOQ)
This is a full-time, exempt position, Monday – Friday 6:00 AM-2:00 PM

We are seeking a highly motivated, proactive, organized individual with effective leadership skills to lead our Trades Department. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 5 years of progressive management experience are desired. Must have extensive knowledge and experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, pool maintenance and carpentry. Tools, equipment and fleet vehicles are provided, as well as paid training. Knowledge of computer software, scheduling and inspection software is preferred. A drone pilot’s license is desired but not required. A Certified Playground Safety Inspector and Certified Pool Operators license is required within the first 12 months of employment, with testing fees paid by the District.
