The Village of Lisle is seeking its next Public Works Superintendent to provide supervisory and administrative direction for the following operations in the Public Works Department: forestry, streets, and water. The Superintendent supervises, plans, organizes, and directs programs, activities and operations of the Public Works Department with other departments, outside agencies, and the general public and in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, policies, rules and regulations.
A Bachelor’s degree is preferred. A minimum of three years of Public Works experience, including supervisory experience. A CDL Class “A” Vehicle Operator’s License with air brake and tanker endorsement and an Illinois Environmental Protection Agency Class “C” Water Operator License is required. Arborist certification or receipt of one within 12 months of employment or transfer into position.
This is FLSA non-exempt position with an excellent benefit package, including health and life insurance, IMRF pension, vacation time, paid holidays and sick days. The salary range for this position is $96,627 to $132,863 DOQ.
