The Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, population 56,852 is located along Metra’s Union Pacific Northwest Line, 23 miles from downtown Chicago and five miles north of O’Hare International Airport. The Village is seeking applicants for the full-time position of Administrative Assistant in the Building & Inspection Services Division.
The position will perform daily clerical and administrative tasks to support the operations of Building & Inspection Services Division. The position ensures a positive customer service experience both on the phone and in person. This position is the first point of contact for all development related services, it requires a professional image while performing duties in a courteous, engaging/friendly manner.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED and are preferred to have a minimum of three years of customer service/administrative experience working in a professional environment. The ideal candidate would be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and be proficient in administrative skills including typing, phone etiquette, and paper and electronic filing. Candidates must be able to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
Starting salary for this position is $55,146 – $66,175 when annualized, depending on qualifications. The salary range for this position is $55,146 – $77,204.
