Village of Berkeley, Finance and Human Resources Coordinator

The Village of Berkeley is seeking individuals interested in working for a diverse, dynamic, and forward-thinking team in the newly created position of Finance and Human Resources Coordinator. Under the direction of the Assistant Village Administrator, this position performs advanced, professional-level technical and administrative work in the areas of administration, finance, and human resources. Work areas of focus include:

  • Assists in the planning and coordination of day-to-day Human Resources functions
  • Preparation of annual budget
  • Administering Village benefit plans
  • Purchasing and grant oversight
  • Coordination of Village IRMA claims
  • Policy research, evaluation, and implementation

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of three-years experience in an increasingly responsible related position (or any equivalent combination of education and experience) in finance, accounting-related work, or human resources preferably in a municipal environment. This position requires knowledge of federal, state laws, and local ordinance related to finance and human resources, successful leadership and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate while establishing and maintaining successful working relationships with a wide-variety of actors, and excellent analytical skills with the ability to recommend alternatives.

The current annual salary range for the position is $60,098 to $84,138, depending on qualifications. The Village offers a comprehensive benefit for employees and their dependents:
