The Village of Elk Grove is pleased to announce the offering of Summer Seasonal positions with the Village’s Public Works Department. Summer Seasonal(s) primarily work to complete tasks involving manual labor. Some typical tasks of a Summer Seasonal are painting, janitorial, light carpentry, watering trees, tree planting, and setting up for special events.
In addition to summer seasonal positions with the Village’s Public Works Department, a few positions are available within Departments at Village Hall for students with urban planning/architecture, human resources, and finance majors.
Selection will be based on qualifications.
Summer Seasonal typically works from May to August.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2024 High School Graduate or currently enrolled in College
- Ability to work outdoors/all weather conditions
- A valid Illinois Driver’s License and a Safe Driving Record
- Ability to work 3 – 5 days, 24-40 hours per week
SUMMER WORK DATES: May 2024 – August 2024
HOURS OF WORK: Monday through Friday
Public Works Department from 6:30 am – 3:00 pm
Village Hall from 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
HOURLY RATE: $15.00
