The City of Burlington is looking for a Utility Manager to lead our water and wastewater utilities team within the Department of Public Works. Our utility professionals work hard every day to collect and treat wastewater from the City and surround districts to return it safely to the environment, and to supply our customers with safe, reliable water to be utilized in all aspects of life. The Utility Manager position performs supervisory, administrative, and professional work in planning, organizing, and directing all aspects of the water and wastewater utilities within the Department of Public Works. Successful candidates must have a High School Diploma/GED and a valid driver’s license.  Candidates must have at least five (5) years of experience working within a wastewater or water utility and two (2) years of supervisory experience. WDNR Advanced Wastewater Operator Certification and a WDNR Water Operator Certification are required for the position. Paid, on the job, training for CDL is available.

 

Starting salary for this position is $75,275 – $81,369 annually depending on qualifications.
