The City of Wood Dale is currently accepting applications for the GIS/GPS Intern. This position is responsible for various duties including, but not limited to, gathering computerized management maintenance system data, operations of GPS equipment, operations of GPS software, preparing standard operating procedures, and performing other duties as assigned by GIS Manager.
Requirements
– Must possess Geographic Information Systems education and experience using GIS software.
– A familiarity with ESRI’s desktop software (ArcMap or ArcGIS Pro) and ArcGIS Online mapping system are preferred.
– The candidate must also have knowledge of Global Positioning System (GPS) principles.
– Basic knowledge of public utilities is an additional benefit
– Knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically Access & Excel)
– Possess a valid driver’s license.

This is a seasonal position limited to 1,000 hours.
